Support Resources for Survivors of Sexual Violence

If you have experienced sexual assault, dating violence, and/or stalking, there are people you can talk to who will be there to listen, believe, and support you. You deserve support. 

Here at Humboldt, we have our Campus Advocate Team (the North Coast Rape Crisis team serves in this role) who are available 24 hours a day to talk or meet with you confidentially. You can contact them through their hotline number at (707) 445-2881. Our Campus Advocate Team can support you in a variety of ways and help you explore your options.

Our Campus Advocate Team offers free and confidential: 

- On or off campus one-on-one counseling. Call the hotline at 707.445.2881 to make an appointment
- Assistance in securing campus accommodations.
- Advocacy and accompaniment during the reporting or investigative process

You can also talk with an advocate from Humboldt Domestic Violence Services (HDVS) 24hrs a day at (707) 443-6042. They are there to listen and support you in whatever ways feel most comfortable to you. HDVS offers:

- A 24hr crisis/support Line: (707) 443-6042
- One-on-one counseling off campus 
- Support group counseling. Contact HDVS directly for more information and registration
- Confidential emergency and Savehaven Shelter
- Safety planning
- Court and social service advocacy for survivors, including no fee restraining orders

Online & National Resources

The National Domestic Violence Hotline offers free confidential support. Their 24hr hotline # is 1-800-799-7233. They also offer a chat hotline available from 7am-2am.

Love is Respect offers support, information, and advocacy to young people who have questions or concerns about their dating relationships. They offer a 24hr hotline #, an online chat, as well as a text support line.

Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network (RAINN)RAINN’s services include a 24-hour National Sexual Assault Hotline 1-800-656- 4673 as well as a confidential and free Online Hotline

The Stalking Prevention, Awareness, and Resource Center (SPARC) offers resources in English and Spanish for those experiencing stalking, including documentation logs, safety planning guides, and more.
